Scott Mazza founded Vitality CBD in Buffalo, NY in 2019 and has been running it since. He developed a serious interest in hemp early in his teenage years and brings a background in economics and finance to a category that more often than not operates on unverifiable claims and missing evidence.
He has contributed regularly to WholeFoods Magazine, Nutritional Outlook, Cannabis Science and Technology, Business of Cannabis, and Wellbeing Magazine, among others, for over four years. These are trade and consumer publications covering dietary supplements, cannabinoid science, and federal hemp policy for industry professionals and informed consumers. His writing focuses on regulatory policy, production standards, and the gap between what the research supports and how hemp products are brought to market.
The problems he returns to are specific. Independent laboratory studies, across different research samples and methodologies, consistently find that the majority of CBD products on the market don't match their labeled cannabinoid content. Health benefits get marketed well beyond what peer-reviewed research supports. Independent lab testing remains optional for most producers. The underlying science increasingly validates hemp's applications for anxiety, sleep, and pain management. However, the industry's failure to meet basic production standards is what stands between that science and consumers who are willing to trust it. Mandatory testing, transparent labeling, and enforceable production standards are what the industry needs to become worthy of that science.
That same standard governs Vitality CBD. Products are USDA-certified organic from sourcing through extraction, and every batch is independently tested by ProVerde Laboratories and EVIO Labs, with every Certificate of Analysis published. There are no health claims that outrun the evidence and no certifications that aren't federally backed. It is, in his view, what the whole industry should be held to and what consumers should demand in the meantime.
