Delta 8 vs CBD
What's the Difference?
If you are an avid consumer of cannabis products, you probably know about Delta 9 - but have you heard about Delta 8?
The most up and coming compound in cannabis products is Delta 8. Similar to CBD and THC, it is a cannabinoid, but what are the similarities and differences?
CBD/Delta 8: Similarities
Like CBD, Delta 8 is a cannabinoid. Delta 8 is produced by creating an isolate of Delta 9, AKA THC. Delta 8 uses a man mad process to be created. The only real similarity is that it is derived from the hemp plant. Delta 8 has psychoactive properties while CBD doesn't. CBD is the main compound found in hemp and hemp has very little psychoactive compounds in it.
So, What is Delta 8?
Delta 8 is a cannabinoid which does not naturally exist in cannabis plants, however it shows up in small concentrations. More times than not, Delta 8 THC is man made from using Delta 9 THC in an isolation process.
Both have similar structures, however Delta 8 is a more stable compound than Delta 9. Delta 8 has a lower psychoactive effect than Delta 9.
How Does Delta 8 Differ from CBD?
CBD has been studied more thoroughly than Delta 8 - purely based on how long it has been used and its legality. There are chemical differences between the two. CBD does not contain any psychoactive properties and is therefore used widely by those who do not want the feeling of being "high". This does not mean that Delta 8 doesn't have similar benefits to that of CBD.
Delta 8 can be used to treat a wider range of ailments, especially because it does not give users the "anxious high" feeling that many get when using Delta 9.
Can I Combine Delta 8 and CBD?
In short - yes.
Delta 8 already is less psychoactive than that of Delta 9. Delta 8 and CBD will have the benefits of both cannabinoids with little to no high. Because CBD will interact with the same receptors as the THC compound found in Delta 8, negating the activation of the receptor. Allowing Delta 8 to introduce its benefits while letting CBD reduce the effects of the psychoactive properties of Delta 8 and providing its own benefits.

The answer to this depends on the type of person you are. You may or may not like the effects that some cannabinoids provide. It's dependent on what you look for in a product that you will likely be consuming each day - each product can be different. Here is what frequent consumers of both CBD and Delta 8 look for:
CBD:
CBD users are people who want non-psychoactive products but want the benefits that cannabinoids provide. CBD comes in many for and has no psychoactive effects. You can consume CBD through tinctures and gummies, or you can apply a CBD salve to areas of your body. Without the high, most people prefer CBD if the effects of THC makes them uneasy. Delta 8:
